All locked files are stored on your device storage folder named ".Calc-DoNot-Delete". (hidden folder)
*Make sure you do not "delete" or "edit" or "move" any files. Editing the locked file or changing extension will corrupt the files and you can no longer recover them!
*Do not use "cleaner, cache, optimiser" kind of apps to clean your device. Some third-party cleaner apps thinks our locked files as junk and deletes the app folder itself. so we recommend not using any cleaner app.
To verify you account, open FV Calculator Locker and navigate to Settings tab. Select accounts and you will have an option to enter verification code.
Once account is verified you will have access to use many other features on the app.
Please find the latest mail we sent to you on the provided email id (by searching the keyword FV Calculator Locker in your mail box, check SPAM folders too) and follow the steps in the mail to reset your passcode. It might take 5 minutes to receive the email.
If you cannot find the mail, you can request another verification code from the app.
If you have enabled the security questions feature from settings page, you can recover by answering to the questions too in Offline.
Note: Make sure your Wifi or network has access to https://foldervault.app/calculator_locker/
if you cannot access the above domain, whitelist the website in your firewall. Only then you will receive email.
Case 1:
On some devices the "File Cache" is displayed even after locking. So try to "Refresh" or close or kill the Gallery and re-open.
If you still see, try restarting the device.
Case 2:
If you are trying to Lock a file from "SD Card", the file could not be deleted.
You will have to enable SD card write permission from settings tab.
Case 3:
On Some devices like Samsung, Redmi, etc.. has "Cloud Sync" Enabled.
The app move the file to secure location and the Cloud Sync bring back the file again to same place. So, we recommend you to Turn-Off the Sync for Photos, Videos and files if you are planning to lock.
Yes, you can!
As long as you didn't delete the App Folder (Refer to the upper section "Where are the locked files"), after installing Folder Vault again, you can "restore" your files by entering your previous password.

There is no auto migration from old apps. You will have to unlock existing files from old app and then use this new app.
Please do not rate us bad for this reason! it is not the new app issue. We hope you understand.

First, app does not delete any files automatically.
The locked files are stored on your deivice storage only. So any app on your device has access to storage, can also delete, rename or move them right?
So make sure what apps you are using and what actions other apps are performing too.
NO, we do not upload any locked files to our servers due to user privacy.
